Specs: Windows 7/XP Dual, ?/3gig
It would seem according to various forums (ZDNet, Microsoft OEM, 4sysops, and others) that this installation is best suited for IT pros, tech enthusiasts, and developers who need to test the service pack. I have downloaded it but I thought I would gauge the general feeling regarding installation from the contributors here.

Why here and not the Windows 7 forum?

My dog is worried about the economy because Alpo is up to 99 cents a can. That's almost $7.00 in dog money.

Have we hit Final yet? I thought it was still in RC.

If it's final, go for it. If it's RC, do it on a machine you don't mind wiping. If you don't have hardware lying around, wait for Final. At a glance, there isn't anything particularly interesting in SP1 for home users, so there should be no rush to get it.

seawatch1... you make an interesting comment. Some time ago a post was made herewhich was not a problem as such but rather a comment on a computer related subject. I commented that perhaps this was not the right forum for such a post and was shot down in flames. I have no problem I was merely asking for comments!

Thank you Razor... asked and answered.
