Why do the same people answer all the time?

It seems that the same people always answer all questions here.

I think we should have an option to create a "temporary account" for the people who are asking a question only. Maybe 30 days after the question was answered the account is deleted. We have more unused accounts here than ones that are used on a daily basis, which is removing user names for new people who want to join. This also must be slowing down the servers when it adds up all of your total posts and every thing else that is updated on a weekly basis.

Pentium 4s - The processors for the rest of us.

The concept of these forums is not to just help the original poster, but to archive the thread for future posters that may have a similar problem. If you Google a particular issue there is a good chance you may get hits pointing back to CN.

As far as the issue of the same responders is concerned, at any time at CN there are a block of interested users that follow the threads and respond. What do you find problematic about that?

I seriously doubt we will ever run out of user names.

It seems that the same people always answer all questions here.

They have the time, patience or the answer.
Some questions are vague and need prompting.

Some are right and others wrong.:-}

Unlike other forums......this one is still free.

As far as slowing down the server.....Thats Justins problem... feel free to tell him I said that...LOL

Hey,

I tend to agree with OtheHill. I don't see any pressing need to create temporary accounts for users to ask questions. Counting all the posts by each user isn't an issue for the server. Plus, if a user ever wants to come back, he's all setup and ready to go!

Comment from a Brand New User:
I found this site performing a search, and was not required to sign up to read posts. The posts allowed me to get a feel for your site and the nature of questions/responses. And if there was anyone that could still help with Win95.
I've only posted twice, and received back from 4 different responders. They've all shared knowledge freely that was most beneficial to me, Their responses were encouraging, upbeat, many suggestions given and open to humor. In all a great experience.
My point, if I were given a temporary account with a timeline, I'd not have read posts., I'd of moved on. I'd of assumed the website was used by those with the most up to date equipment only. The small amount of time I've spent on the website has been useful.
I thank you all for the work your doing, and sharing with others in such an open friendly manner, your to be commended.
Follow up to a post:: "Scan my System" I assume our first date is a no go. Don't let my bike/computer system frighten you.
THANKS to all of you.
