What is the time limit for locked threads?

I noticed that some threads get locked after 2 months and others still get answered from back in May. Kind of weird.

Hey,

Can you give me an example of a thread that is locked after two months? Remember, its the date of the original posting, not the last reply that determines when it gets locked.

Justin

Can you explain how far back you can respond to a post? When does a post get locked?

I guess I phrased that wrong. Justin, how old does a thread have to be to be locked?
Thanks

Hey,

It has to be, at minimum, 8 months old. It shouldn't lock unless its older than that.
