Weekly Poll Topics

I have noticed weekly poll topics that involve smartphones, video games & social networking are not answered and the worse thing is they keep coming. I have been thinking how about we choose our own weekly poll topics?

Hey,

I generally look at what is new and exciting in the news that week and then choose a poll topic. However, I'd be more than happy to listen to people's weekly ideas. If you guys want to PM them to me, that would be great! I would tell you to post it on this thread, but since the poll is weekly, I don't want to get like 20 ideas right now. They might not be relevant by the time they can run.

Just out of curiousity, I went to The Lounge topic listing and did a search (ctrl-f) of "discuss"

Out of 25+ poll topics I saw listed, only the most recent one didn't have a response so I'm not quite sure what you're talking about kuwese

How about you post links to each of the topics you mention that have no response and we'll have a look.

Some topics are very specific, like this latest one. I suspect it's received no repsonses yet because chances are, none of the regulars around here have used one. I know I haven't. Not only have I not used one, I haven't checked the specs out on them and compared them to other tablets so I have no information, no comparison, and therefore, no comment.

I suspect the reason most of the more specific polls, like this last one, get less answers because fewer people have knowledge/experience with a specific device than they do others.

Personally, I think Justin is, and always has been, doing a good job of making weekly polls based on what's new. It's up to him if he wants to take requests but personally, I won't be sending any because I figure he's got enough on his plate as it is without a bunch more emails than he already gets every week from people offering topics. Of course it's up to him if he wants to do this or not. I don't see any need myself.

Just my $0.02

How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

Curt R,

I agree some are much too specific. However, some weeks just don't have very interesting news in the technology field! I try to find the most interesting of the bunch that warrants a simple poll question :)
