while in-flight or else the flight crews may mark you aa a suspicious terrorist. I ain't kidding. Read THIS and see for yourself. I wonder if the 9-11 attack have made us overly paranoid and overly fearful.

Not that we should not be concerned about these risks, but many politicians find it usually expedient to use these events to maximize their political capital one way or the other.

Over the last 10 years, there have been roughly 99 million original or stop-over commercial airline departures within the US & there have been six terrorist attempts including the two that were botched over the same time frame.

Do the math: 1/17 million departures.

My father spent 26 years in the navy stationed all over the world so as a kid I got to fly a bit more maybe than the average kid my age and of my economic class. Even back in the mid 70s I learned that flying was not something I enjoyed. Don't get me wrong the flying itself I loved and still do but the grief that has always come with it which is only getting worse just isn't worth it to me. Besides I have never seen a traffic accident kill 300 people at once.

Anyway all I can see comming from this is an excuse to again raise prices. Will anything being discussed actually make flying or this country safer? I doubt so much that I would notice.

While traveling in Germany years back I was strip searched 3 times. At that time if you said that would happen here in the states I would have laughed at you and called you a fool. Hmmmm how long before It starts here now? I also laughed at those fools wearing tinfoil hats claiming we were becoming a communist country. Was I wrong?

I want to go like my grandfather did. Peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming at the top of my lungs like the passengers in his car.
