Verification of my email via Tom's Guide

I followed through with the process of changing my user name on this site. I was aware I'd lose any and all previous communications as well.

Received an email, I thought was from Tom's Guide suggesting I click on the hyperlink to verify my registration. I did so, and up popped Tom's Hardware! A site offering all sorts of items pertaining to computers, etc. Not only that but a chance to earn Badges??

So now, I'm feeling a little lost not knowing if this will get though or not. If it does, I sure would appreciate any helpful comments as I have found this site to be very helpful with assistance from others more informed about computer use and problems.

I just submitted my Q and I see where my former user name is still there and not the new one??!!

Hi,

I think there may be some confusion. Computing.Net is the service that provides Technical Support forums for Tom's Guide. However, the login for Tom's Guide site itself doesn't work on Computing.Net. It does work on Tom's Hardware though. Tom's Hardware has its own computer Technical Support forums. That is most likely what you were looking at.

Thanks!
Justin

Hi,

Please send me a private message. You can do this by clicking on my name, then on my user info page, clicking on my name again.

Thanks!
Justin
