I'm not the only one who have seen those magnificant images. Others have seen them too and have commented about it in THIS post. Why the viewing went offline is beyond me. It could be that the photographers suddenly realized they need to have it copyrighted, but who knows. I did some little digging across the net and managed to find few similar images posted on THIS LINK (scroll down the page and look at Image 2 ("Evil Forces"). Image 3 ("Eyjafjallajökull volcano - The Battle for Middle Earth") and image 4 ("Cracks of Doom - Eyjafjallajökull Volcano Eruptions")

Yep, now those are pretty impressive. Always knew there was lightning associated with an eruption, but didn't realize it was that much--as in:

In fact, that image almost looks a little "too" unbelievable

Those are pretty spectacular... I hope the lightning has not been added for effect although I saw pictures of a South American volcano liberally laced with lightning.

Have you noticed that not many news readers tackle the pronunciation of the volcano's name "Eyafallajökull"?

Pretty awsome photos.

Likely

I want to go like my grandfather did. Peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming at the top of my lungs like the passengers in his car.
