I have an Olympus Camedia Printer which uses dye sublimation paper. Unfortunately the printer has been discontinued for some time and I am no longer able to get paper here in Australia. I was able to locate a supply at Amazon-Adorama and their price is (US)$23.00 for 24 sheets which seemed like bargain to me but here's the rub... it is going to cost (US)$58.00 to send to Australia, that represents nearly two and a half times the cost of the paper. Granted the package comes in a stout cardboard package but the handling is still exorbitant.

My request therefore is for one of our esteemed US correspondents to inquire the postage charge as if they were sending the paper to me, I'm damn sure it won't be $58.00. I'm not sure how heavy 25 sheets in a plastic sleeve enclosed in a cardboard envelope would weigh. But Amazon will not alter their price structure in any circumstances.

This is the paper I'm looking for:

Olympus PA4-NW Standard Paper (A4 8.5x12") for Olympus P-400/440 Printers - 25 sheets

My thanks in advance and regards.

Hi Ewen, is this the correct paper:-

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...

The www is truly ww. Thus you must research your options.

It is unclear how many sheets are in the pack, so this needs checking.

I was recently surpised to learn how expensive some items were in the US compared to here in the UK.

Here the suppler is in Germany, and includes free delivery to the UK.
Do you have a friend here, due to return to Oz in the near future?

Alternatively, the supplier posts to Oz for £20 per shipment.

Please advise back on progress.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.

Thank you Mike for the information. There are 25 sheets in a pack and I note the UK price is 33.95 pounds which converts to (AU)$50.42, the postage is 20.00 pounds which converts to (AU)$29.70 making an all up total of (AU)$80.00 which is very near the US price all up. It does make the paper per sheet very expensive and it borders on not being worth it.

I can get dye sublimation paper here in 50metre rolls and A3 width which to me is completely useless.

Looks like I have a very attractive boat anchor on my hands.

Thank you for going to the trouble of seeking out the information for me.

Regards
