Pocket Router vs Regular Router

Specs: Windows 10, 8GB
I'm thinking of buying a router. My friends who use pocket routers say pocket routers give a faster connection than a regular router. Is it true? Is there any specific hardware part used in a Pocket router than a regular router? Is it worth buying a pocket router instead of a normal router?

My own experience with pocket routers is that they’re often a lower spec., and thus reduced bandwidth (frequently incorrectly referred to as speed...) than standard routers. But the difference between the two styles has seldom been an issue.

Pocket routers have improved and are useful when travelling, but also limited in number of Ethernet ports.

I don't have personal experience to pick a one..I'm not frequently going out nowadays and there isn't a special or reasonable reason to buy pocket router without travelling purposes. Thanks a lot for sharing..

It depends on the purpose you are using. If more than two users use your internet connection, then go for the regular router as it is much faster than a pocket router. However, if you use it for an outdoor purpose, then the only solution is a pocket router.
