Solved old threads are listed by default

I'm a non-frequent user of this site, and recently picked up usage again. I'm noting that when you just logon to the site, it would show a - random - list of threads on my initial page, ranked from newest to oldest.

Now today, I was looking at something like that, and I saw my own created thread on top - nice - and the second one was from 2016.

Then, subsequent ones are older ... I know there must be newer ones in exactly the forum the first one is created in. But this "example" list of threads is made of other criteria, apparently.

The annoying thing is: old threads are listed, some have no "solution", but you can't reply since they are too old.

There's many issues, but the main one is : why is it showing that much old thread just on the landing page already ?

✔ Best Answer
Go to your "My Home", click Settings, then look at the list of choices under Site Settings. Is the box for "Order forum posts by when they were last created" checked or not?

Also note, there is this one forum in which the second newest thread is 3 years old ... :)
