Check out this screen shot of the question I posted a couple of hours ago.

The only tags I wanted for it were Gmail and Email. How can I keep irrelevant tags off of my posts? I'm brand new to this wonderful place, and am puzzled by a few things.

Thanks

Hey,

That is your product info. You should see it in the field when you are posting. If you don't want it to appear, go into your My Computing.Net homepage, click system specs then if you see a teaser image, click no thanks... Then click clear values.

Tags are product info? I don't get it. I thought tags were to be assigned to multi-categorize the initial post of a thread. Are you referring to the "Windows 7, AMD Athlon II X4 620, 6.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2" under my name and the date/time?

Hey,

Tags are both because the message is "tagged" with those "tags" and "product info"

I actually updated the system now so you can just delete out the product info when you are posting and it will leave it out. It will reappear whenever you try to post until you clear the values.

Oh,

By product info, I mean where it says "Product" when you are filling in the posting forms.

Sorry for the confusion,

Hey,

Actually, thank you! You called my attention to a minor bug in that if you deleted that info product info but posted, it would still show up.
