Specs: Windows 10
I resurrected my original ID for the last couple of weeks to see if I can reclaim the #1 spot.

I know, that's why I'm back! Actually, I never left, I just switched names. This is the 1st time I've logged in as jam in almost 10 years.

Jam

Good to hear from you after all these years. Pity about the site closing tho. I wouldn't have even been much competition either - after a big op in Nov 2019 I've been soft peddling it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I told my story & said my goodbyes in response #13: https://www.computing.net/answers/t...

There were a few who knew riider = jam & I'd gotten PMs from them quite a while ago telling me Derek took the #1 spot. I'm not out to take that away, I was just kidding.... you earned it.

I tried posting in other computing forums over the years - AMD, Tom's Hardware, Overclockers.com - but I never enjoyed them nearly as much as here. I'm still active on a couple of Harley & trucking sites so I guess I'll have to refocus my efforts.

I hope you're doing OK. I had cancer surgery a little over a year ago, luckily it was just prior to the pandemic - so far, so good. It definitely sucks getting old & my body likes to remind me that I'm not that 25 year punk anymore, even though my mind says otherwise. A lot of us regulars are seniors but I think OtheHill has most of us beat! I hope he sees that. 😁

It's OK, I knew you were kidding. My little hospital session was a "burst Auorta". Interesting trip with lights flashing and less than 12% chances given. Stayed for a month and am now as well recovered as an 84 year old can expect.

Sorry to belatedly hear Mike Newcomb had died - we used to exchange the odd email.

Wow, such a lot of names on here since I arrived in mid 1999. You can't get the coal for those old computers any more.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Dang, what am I going to do with my spare time? I am curious about why you are listed as #2 when at one point after jam was gone, I was #2. Also, who is #3?

Justin, would it be possible to see a list of say, the first #100?

Hi OtheHill, long time. OK, not really, lol. I decided to end it the same way I started; as jam.

I can't make sense of the way rankings are determined but here's the top 24: https://www.computing.net/cgi-bin/t...

There's not a single name on the list that I don't recognize.
