How do you spot a computer geek?

July 13, 2014 at 00:31:48
Specs: IOS
I was just sitting at my computer desk and spotted a half unfolded paper clip sitting there.

While most people wouldn't realise why this is and not give it a second thought, I know that computer geeks would.

What giveaways let you spot a computer geek?

The pale green skin, screwed up face with wide red eyes; possibly curved spine - possibly hunched shoulders; hands with over developed fingers; short skinny legs - not very strong and thus not able to walk very far - if at all. All classic signs of a classic geek - and very similar in appearance to most aliens too - if one can believe the descriptions and images in innumerable programmes all about aliens being here..

Aha but how will you spot a geek when CD's and DVD's are phased out?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Lol Derek, I hadn't considered that. My paper clip collection will become obsolete also. Every time I need to eject a disk from my system without turning it on I have to engineer a new one. Even as I sit here looking at my desk there is a blank space where one was sitting just the other day. My straightened paper clip has mysteriously "disappeared"....

Things don't just "disappear"... They're usually just "borrowed: (by the Borrowers); those wee pholk who live behind the skirting boards/base boards in most homes (and even offices too).

Many a tale has been told and retold about their escapades; and how they just "borrow" things - but often forget to return them...

Hey trvlr!

That would explain where that other sock disappears to as well!!!

Most of my pairs are single now. I always thought one was just looking for the other.

Wool socks (especially) are highly valued as they make a very warm snuggle down style of sleeping bag for the week pholks... They just fold back the upper part over the lower (foot) part and it's a double lining and very warm on a cold night...

Open up his backpack and find the pouch with the plethora of bootable flash drives with diagnostic tools on them, IE. Hiren's Boot CD, Memtest, Windows PE, etc.
