Specs: Macintosh
how to disable email notifications at Computing.net? I have received multiple emails, all the time, and I want them to stop. My question was answered, thank you. They provide a sentence: To disable email notifications, use the link below:
http://www.computing.net/cgi-bin/my...

However this link has nothing that allows me to unsubscribe. Please, HELP!

My guess is you didn't look very hard. Click on the link you provided, click Settings, then uncheck the box next to "E-mail me about my postings and replies".

If you don't post here for a long time - and have disabled the email me etc. option - I think you are automatically deleted from the system in time.

Also normally one only gets an email re' a post one has made - if someone has read it and is offering possible information/solutions. Usually if a post is marked as "solved" that also discourages others from further posts to that particular thread (although not always).

Mausie,

I'm sorry for the issues you have been having. I looked at your account and see the checkbox that riider described is unchecked. Has it always been that way or did you do it after he informed you about this option?

Thanks!
Justin

Did you look in Settings? That is where the email choice resides.

There is no "unsubscribe" as such but nothing more happens if you stop using the site.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
