How do I insert an image into a text post??

March 12, 2013 at 12:39:56
Specs: Windows 7
I saw a way online and am going to try it here. If it works, I will only see a picture...
title="The Bracket" rel="nofollow">
<img src="http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g150/notesofchange/The-Bracket-how-i-met-your-mother-1.jpg"
width=100%
alt="Blah" />

Not sure then if it does how to show the code...

Hi,

You can no longer insert images into postings, for abuse reasons.

If you need to insert a screenshot or screen capture, please use the "Add a Screen Capture" feature. This new system allows you to take a capture of your screen and upload it.

Thank you!

I decided to try it.

I clicked on "Add a Screen Capture" and it expanded to include "Begin Process" but when I clicked on that, nothing happened.

Is it not working, or do I need some instructions on how to use it? LOL

Hey Curt R,

Try doing a full-reload. I just changed the system and you might have an old javascript.

To do a Full reload hold down shift and hit reload or cntrl+F5 in some browsers.

Ok. Thanks for letting me know. I was using this site to find an answer and try what I had found so far. I figured out how to insert an image into a post using tinypic.com and that worked perfectly b/c they did the work for me. I can upload the photo I want there and then they give you the html code. Solved!

Hey Justin,

I did the full reload and still nothing.

Could a few of you others give it a try and see what results you get.

FYI, I'm using IE 9

Hey,

After you click, "Begin Process" and nothing happens, if you scroll to the top of the page, do you see a white bar that says: "Loading screen recorder..."?

Hmm, in Chrome I get a message in the top bar saying 'no Java detected' - I just went through the download process just to check I'd got the latest version but still get the same message. In IE and Firefox there's no 'Add a screen capture' option at all.

johnr,

It'll say no java detected if you don't let it open the application it tries to run (ie click cancel when it pops up).

The reason you don't see it in the other browsers is because you aren't logged in.

I got the "Loading screen recorder" message now (this computer has Java on it, the other one I tried later yesterday doesn't) but it quickly turned into the "No java detected" message.

I received no option to allow or cancel anything opening. It just went from the aforementioned screen to the "No Java detected" screen.

Hey,

On IE, I was noticing that sometimes the run dialog was popping up quickly then going underneath the browser. Try closing all the windows but the browser then, after clicking, minimizing the browser. Do you see the dialog then? If so, I'm going to try to work on why that is happening.

Hey Justin,

I just tried it and nothing. There was no other window open even when I minimized the browser.

Hey,

You sure you don't have some setting that prevents java applets from running?

Try going here: http://www.paradigm-hq.com/support.... and clicking launch screen recorder.

That is the same system, its their "demo" site for the screenr software. You don't have to record anything, just see if it works.

I uninstalled java from my one PC when the jave exploit was found. If memory serves, I set something on this computer's IE browser to prevent it from running in web pages because I need java on this computer.

I can't remember what or where, but will go have a look through the settings when I have some time and see if I can untweak that setting and check if it runs.

To be honest, I had quite forgotten I'd done that until you mentioned it..........LOL

I don't suppose you know if that java exploit has been fixed yet?
