how do I add a response to an earlier q/a? As in a thread?

Specs: Windows XP
Think I found a nice answer to the query string: Forums>Windows XP > ATI folder opens on XP restart (http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-xp/ati-folder-opens-on-xp-restart/51648.html), but don't know how to "continue a thread" or add. This question initially asked in 2002. Thanks, Images (Rick)

This is because the thread is locked, it's too old to reply to it.

You've been helped by a 15 year old.

Images,

RMT2 is correct. If you need to create a new thread on the Windows XP forum to ask your question, this is how to proceed. You cannot reply to threads that old.

Thank you,
Justin

"Think I found a nice answer"

You can always post it "for information" as a new thread in the appropriate forum.
That way anyone currently having the same problem will find your suggestion it in Google more readily than they would have done in an old thread.

You will obviously have to describe the problem first.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Thanks to all for your prompt support. Appreciated. Will try to post this in general information category as suggested. Best wishes to all! Sincerely, Images (Rick)

It looks like you can still mark up the response you liked, this in theory would lead towards other people seeing that it was a worthwhile response?
