How did you just log on to Computing.net then?

Also I use

Free Avira Antivirus: http://www.free-av.com/
And Free Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-do...

You may want to give that a try (if you can read this post)

@kimsland

Why do you suggest antivirus almost in all of your posts ? In this case, new antivirus is not necessary....

It was in relevance (and always is) to the members post
He wants to download Antivirus, I suggested Avira
Actually I have not ties to Avira or any other application, I just thought he should try it instead of pc safety suite

Ashish

Where were you going to download from? There are some links here to other sites but you don't use your password from Computing .net to log in to them.

kimsland

CN can save your password so it is possible for the OP to come here and still not remember a password. I can't figure out why it would be needed to download anything though.

Why is this post being dealt with in the lounge... the OP should be directed to the proper forum? It's only a matter of time before this page is over-run with problem posts. Hopefully a moderator will move it!

Recently software called "PC Security Suite" has been published on this forum....CN UserName and Password are required for it`s usage....

@ewen

The Lounge is the best place where you can discuss about things NOT related to computer problems.....the post has been posted in the right place....

probfixer you are correct... I was too quick off the mark, my eye caught the words "I forgot my password etc" and I fired my response. Apologies to the OP.

i have never used my password. i don't even remember what it is. I guess i set a switch to keep me "logged in forever". I can't forsee a whole lot of security issues evolving from my subscription to this forum, so i will, for now, leave it at that.

(who is giving out all those green-thumbs? elves are at work industriously adding to all our reputations -- or is inflation going to defeat them as it does all of the rest of us?)

ps: to kimsland, thanks (maybe, til further notice) i'm currently downloading this av. grisoft bit the dust for older systems, maybe this one will support them. i'll givitashot.
