thanks for the answer I will check it out when I have some time, but are you trying to say man made global warming is real in the second link? wake up man made global warming is a lie manufactured so there will be a global carbon tax, every week I read something about the carbon tax in Europe and that they are trying to make it global the last thing we need to be doing is giving more money to other countries, yes we have had record heats lately but we have also had record colds the earth is always changing if it didn't change we would still be in an ice age

even if the Arctic melted the water levels would NOT rise and I can prove it put a few Ice cubes in a glass (representing the arctic ice cap) fill the glass to the brim with water and let it melt.If the ice cubes were not touching the bottom (like the arctic cap) than the water levels would not have risen

Hmmm, I think your theory has a hole in it.Need two glasses.Fill glass one to the brim with water. represents the oceanFill glass two with ice let melt.......represents arctic ice. Then pour melted ice into glass representing the ocean

I subscribe to the idea that the ice is not going to just all of the sudden be melted causing a great flood. The ice is melting slowly every day and we are dealing with it every day. How much ice would have to melt to raise the water level just one inch on any beach in the world? If the water level rises and I inturn reclaim some of the ocean bottom my "glass" has gotten bigger and the ocean deeper. Now give me a cold one and a lounge chair next to the pool.Likely

even if the Arctic melted the water levels would NOT rise and I can prove itYour experiment doesn't take into consideration the amount of ice that is no where near water as in the Antarctic. That is a lot if ice all of it which will contribute to an increase in sea levels if it should ever melt as well as the Arctic that is above sea level.Your Ices cubs in a glass experiment only take s into account the Ice that is at or below sea level as it stands now. AI tiny amount compared to what is above sea level.Stuart

How about this prediction from 2007:"Runaway Global Warming promises to literally burn-up agricultural areas into dust worldwide by 2012, causing global famine, anarchy, diseases, and war on a global scale as military powers including the U.S., Russia, and China, fight for control of the Earth's remaining resources.Over 4.5 Billion people could die from Global Warming-related causes by 2012

it's the ice above the ocean that if it melts will make the sea levels rise as the ice under the water if it melted it would still take up the same space as it would as if it was water under the sea just like your ice cubes.but if you had ice cubes in a seperate cup (representing ice above the water) melted and then you put this in a cup of water the levels would obviously rise just like worldlibrary said and also there is massive amounts of ice above the water which when melt make the water levels rise and there are studies that people have made where they record the sea level and it proves that the sea is actualy slowly rising.
