BYE YAHOO. I'm tired of their bullcrap service with no free POP access and terrible web mail. My choices are now Gmail or Hotmail. Which one is better?

I like Gmail, but I have to warn that every link clicked from within a mail in the Web interface is routed through a google server, presumably for the purpose of being recorded. For this reason I've begun using Tbird to IMAP the account.

I'll stick with yahoo, still the best all around mail service, who needs pop access anyways?
Hotmail really sux, even worse now than years ago. Gmail is too wimped out for me. Notice when you mark a message as read, it just sits there with a check mark saying it is read...what is that crap? Gmail also tries crap on you without your permission, then you have to manually turn off the features, I like a no fuss, no muss, e-mail client.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

I went through a good deal of grief with hotmail and msn messanger several years ago now I suggest to everyone not to touch either it's their choice though. I do have both yahoo and gmail accounts but to be honest I don't find either one to be some great thing but neither causes me grief either.

i like gmail a lot these days compared to yahoo, and hotmail.

messenger wise yahoo is heavy, hotmail was great but then it got updated now theres too much going on in the messenger, google talk doesn't look nice but its light weight and it does its job.

gmail has their google docs, filtering works fine also, message threading works fine its not confusing like hotmail/live in yahoo i have not tried yet.

Calendar is great also in gmail.

live perks you have your skydrive which is a 25GB free storage, problem with it is that i find it hard to locate that service.
