Hi all,

This week's poll question is about the recently announced cellular phone that runs Windows XP. Discuss here if you think this will work, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

Oh cool one more thing the teenager in the car in front of me can be doing besides DRIVING HIS CAR! This should make the streets safer.

That being said, I am holding out for the cell with a microwave so I can make popcorn to go with the movie I am watching while driving.

I want to go like my grandfather did. Peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming at the top of my lungs like the passengers in his car.

This will probably go over well with the crowd that likes texting on their phones better than talking on them.

I think they were designed originally as phones. I like the above 2 answers and can say personally, I'm sick to death of seeing cell phone adds on tv. At Christmas time, there wasn't one toy add on tv, all cell phones and cars. Our present generation of spoiled brats will grow up to have arms that are as thin as pencils because they don't use them anymore except to reach out to mom and pop for money. For god's sake kids, get a life. Ha Ha !!!!

" For god's sake kids, get a life. Ha Ha !!!!"

I disagree. They don't need a life they need a freakin' job. I found out that one of my kids took her prepaid cell that I got her for when she went out to school a few years ago. The school didn't complain?? I on the other hand went through the roof and made her take a hammer to it. When she asked how she was supposed to text her friends I gave her a book of matches and said smoke signals!!!

Ha Ha, kids today don't think they need to get a job. It's " Generation Me " and they feel entitled. They were not asked to be born and now you owe them your soul. I would have loved to see the expression on your daughter's face when the hammer came down. LMAO. And I guess in these days, making a call on a phone isn't cool. Try texting 911, Ha !!!!!

Aside from those pesky kids that need to get jobs, I think its a pretty good Idea. I've always wondered why not do this, especially for GPS. My GPS has a 400MHz CPU and 4Gb of storage space, why cant it have a flexible OS rather than one function? It would be a billion times more useful with XP on it.

However, personally I cant stand the new gigantic phones. Horrible to use the every day standard features and packed full of annoying extra crap you use once. I'm 21, so in with the young crowd, and I can say that I HATE new phones and even on my $30 phone I've never used the camera, listened to the radio or MP3's with it.

Oh and by the way, I've been working for the last 8 years and pay my parents board.
