Hi all,

This week's poll question is about the recent release of the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update. Discuss here if your computer has been updated, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Haven't seen it offered yet. Am going to delay it anyway because there have been issues.

Neither have I on my two machines running Windows 10 upgraded from Windows 7.

For those complaining why Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Build 1607) is not showing up in Windows Update, even after manually checking for updates, a website named Into Windows listed 5 reasons what it could be (quoted):

Reason 1 - Anniversary Update is not available for your older PC now. As per Microsoft, the Anniversary Update is being rolled in phases starting with the newer computers first.

Reason 2 - You have selected Defer upgrades option
The Windows 10 Anniversary Update doesn’t appear if you have selected Defer upgrades option.

Reason 3 - Anniversary Update appears as Feature update. When you check for new updates by navigating to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, the Anniversary Update shows up as Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607. Feature update to Windows 10 is nothing but Anniversary Update.

Reason 4 - You are not running latest Windows 10 build
Many users have reported that the Anniversary Update doesn’t appear if you’re running Windows 10 build 10240.

Reason 5 - You might have disabled Windows Update
Many users have disabled Windows Updated knowingly or unknowingly.

Personally I have another machine bought as NEW with Windows 10 preinstalled, I have not yet boot it up to just to see if the Anniversary Update is offered.

My laptop was very slow and crashing more frequently. Every time I wanted to open a new file, it took forever. This issue started to happen after upgrading from Windows 8.2 to 10. Since then, some updates have been released, but none of them solved this issue.
Finally, the latest update seems to have fixed the issue and everything is running smoothly now.
So far, I have no complaints at all!

It ran fine on my PC and Laptop.

It just kept reverting back on my netbook. I've tried about everything. Have now blocked all updates and do the rest manually once a month, otherwise it wastes my time by trying to install the anniversary update and failing. I am hoping that one day it will decide to accept it, either that or then next massive update will fix it.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

guess mine wasn't updated..but guess it can be due to the fact that i was out of the country for around a week or so and have just returned because of the work an my writemyessay.pro project (not sure whether this update is restricted to the country)..guess it may be updated soon..or probably it won't..still..curious what new feature this update will bring in
