Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Tesla has reported another autopilot-related crash. Discuss here if you think this will make people wary of new automotive tech, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks,
Justin

The technology is still in it's infancy. So far from what I've seen, the crashes "caused" by the autopilot were the fault of a distracted driver not being able to take control in time. It's not a self driving car, people, it's only meant to be a lane keeper. This doesn't mean you can go watch your next GoT episode on your way to work. You don't see the autopilot on planes (which this is named after) landing those planes, do you? It's always under human control.

Tesla themselves even say that the driver needs to remain "engaged and aware" at all times when the autopilot is active. It's called a 'beta version' for a reason.

People are overreacting against the technology and underreacting against plain stupid people.
