Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news spammers are beginning to target Pinterest. Discuss here if you have used the much-hyped new service, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

I have and I use it (not frequently but I use it) If you have an interest in photography and watercolour painting as I do it is an easy way of collecting (and advising other devotees) of new and interesting finds.

In response to respnse #1: Razor2.3 I have heard of it now. I was forced to google it to learn more. Now that I see what it is I don't see myself using it. I guess like Ewen suggests if this is something you're into it may be cool.

Prior to this poll, I hadn't heard of it.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

I never heard of it either until now. I can't see why I would use it either.

I read the Wikipedia article, and it mentions it was mentioned in Time magazine. So that explains how I never heard of it before; I don't read Time and I don't know too many women aged 35-44.

So what's the story here? That advertisers will use any available avenue to advertise their product, even if they're advertising a scam site? That "invitation-only" doesn't mean anything if the invitations are handed out like candy? That last Tuesday and Thursday were really slow news days? Anyone remember when email spam was still news worthy? I don't. What does Hormel Foods think about having their product associated with unwanted and possibly illegal electronic advertising? Did you know it's because of Monty Python sketch?

Pinterest is a Virtual Pinboard social site where people organize and share pictures, I heard about it from Perry Belcher and decided to give it a try. I love very much photography and this website was exactly what I needed, I don`t worry about news spammers because this website cares about it`s users and the admins won`t allow such things to happen.

I don't know about interest yet... Seems like it is a bit time consuming to me... I have a ton of followers and almost nothing pinned. It makes me feel kind of bad that people are following my empty boards.
