Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Microsoft is offering to pay thousands of dollars to people who track down security bugs in IE11 Beta and Windows 8.1. Discuss here if you think Microsoft spends enough time addressing security issues before product releases, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

Having not had any sign of virus for years I got two in the first week when I moved to Windows 8 - fortunately they were relatively easy to fix. Having lost faith I now use TinWall and it is set to block everything in and out except what I decide I need. No viruses since.

So, yes, I think it is a good idea that MS is getting the public to test. From my past experience with main frames, it didn't seem to matter how much in house testing was applied, the public found the bugs as soon as the systems went online.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
