Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Microsoft has announced its new Edge web browser to replace Internet Explorer. Discuss here if you think this will break IE's reputation issues, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks,
Justin

Definitely won't make any difference to Microsoft's web browser popularity (or rather lack of it). It still won't be updated (I mean real version updates) anything like as often as Chrome or Firefox, nor will it be as customisable as them.

I don't agree with your suggestion that it's a reputation issue either. It's just as secure now as the competition, but it's lost too much ground to have any hope of catching up.
If it did catch up, it's competitors will have moved on.

I like to think of Microsoft Edge as just the next-generation web browser developed under the codename 'Project Spartan.' for Windows 10. For anyone curious about what the new rendering engine - also called Edge - can do, peek HERE.
