Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Mark Zuckerberg has committed to donate 99% of his wealth over his lifetime. Discuss here if you think this will help worldwide causes, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks,
Justin

From comedian Argus Hamilton in this morning's paper:

"Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife celebrated the birth of their daughter by announcing they will give their $45 billion fortune to charity to make the world a better place. Reaction came swiftly. Last night, the baby kept them up all night, crying for her lawyer."

I would like to think it is a selfless act. It is a HUGE amount of money (or stock), but I'm a cynic:

I would really like to see it truly help the needy without personal gain but I can't see it. I would love to be proven wrong.

Most folk who make massive amounts of noney have had to be ruthless in the process. It therefore makes me suspicious when they suddenly become the nice guys.

Maybe, mayve not.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
