Hi all,

This week's poll question is about the newly announced Amazon Fire Phone. Discuss here what you think about this long-anticipated release, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

It appears to be a good phone. I'm amazed at consumers who will pay that much for a durn phone just because it's "trick". I'm the kind of moron that just wants a phone capable of making calls...having one with a display visible in sunlight would be nice though.

I honestly think the phone is quite a bit of a rip-off. It costs the same as a Galaxy S5, or HTC One M8, or an LG G3. But yet, it doesn't have the kinds of features that those expensive phones have. It just has a button that you press to scan items. Good for Amazon, not good for you. This phone is a gateway to get you to buy more things from Amazon. Instead of having cool features like a dual-lens camera, special battery-saving modes that can add hours of additional life, you get a pretty cheap-looking phone that has a button that lets you scan items. I don't see why it has to cost so much. Also, since it's on AT&T only, sales ought to be quite limited, with so many people on other carriers (cough cough Verizon). And, I don't think this phone is much of a convincing factor to switch carriers.

You've been helped by a 16 year old.
