Hi all,

This week's poll question is about Apple's newly announced iPad. Discuss here if your first impressions of the product, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

Glorified I Touch.

Can't see dropping another $500 for a bigger screen.

Cool toy though.

Not interested.

I own quite a few computers and between work and her personal PC, my wife has two and a laptop. She also has a crackberry for work.

I can't see any reason for us to buy a dummied down computer just to do things we're already able to do.

I'm sure they'll be a huge hit with the Jone's crowd (ie: the Jone's own one, so we have to buy one too!) but I'm not looking for a new (expensive) way to do things I'm already able to do.

It's mostly useless and designed by Apple in California? Why, that sounds like the last thing in the world I'd drop $550 on!

How about that, a new cell phone that I may not be able to make calls on and it won't fit in my pocket. Hmmmmm I can already see how it will make my life easier. Does it come with a free toaster oven??

I could see uses for it but just not in the general public. Maybe for inventory takers or loading dock managers. I am neither of those, if I already have a laptop or feel the need for a laptop why would I buy something that isn't?

Sounds like Apple's version of a Sanitary Napkin.

Besides, isn't there already a product with that name? I'm sure I've heard the name before...

The Apple Newton was referred to as a MessagePad at one time.

That might be the similar name you remember.

"Besides, isn't there already a product with that name? I'm sure I've heard the name before..." first Apple TV :-)

Looks like not everyone is buying into the hype about the Apple device this time around. The fanfare or lack thereof surrounding its announcement has barely settled & holes are being poked at Jobs' new baby, left & right.

• No Multitasking
• Uncomfortable Keyboard
• No WebCam
• No Flash Support
• Ugly Adapters

• No HDMI

Edit: Looks like iPhone & iPod Touch users don't even need to fork over $500 to Apple to get an iPad ... lol

ROFLMAO

That's EXACTLY what my wife said when I asked her what she thought about the iPad.

Yeah, very VERY sick of anything starting with i. Kraft recently released a cheese variant of Vegemite and called it "iSnack 2.0" hahha, not called that anymore since a lot of complaints but probably a publicity stunt anyway.

iPod, iMac, iPhone, iPad, i'm getting annoyed.

Other than the other flaws pointed out, the design is so lazy.. its just a huge iPod touch.

I've been laughing uncontrollably since Jennifer posted Response Number 6; my side hurts, face is tear streaked, I've nearly quit smoking, cats won't come close, girlfriend is ready to call the guys from the rubber room and I'm afraid I'll miss the Super Bowl.

What was the question?

The whole cell phone thing is outa control. I like the latest commercial with the guys sitting around a campfire, all glued to their cell phones. This is pathetic, I'd like to see them catch on fire. They wouldn't even know it. But then, there must be an App for that :))
