Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Google Maps introduced a feature that will remember where you parked your car. Discuss here if you think you'd make use of this feature, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks,
Justin

Seems there's no end to the tracking and recording of personal data - websites, geographical locations etc... by Google and the like.

Yet another nail in the coffin of privacy, free movement, and personal freedom overall. Big brother is watching increasingly every move... Some of this likely has been going on less overtly of course by the assorted national security outfits; but to make it a feature is not acceptable. Even if one is allegedly allowed to disable it I don't have confidence in that being true. Mobiles phones are tracked daily and the users' have so say in that...

I disallow any location options whenever I can; but I doubt it prevents the likes of Google, mobile phone outfits - and security services/law enforcement from tracking regardless - if they feel so inclined...

The Lee Childs "hero " Jack Reacher has the best approach. Don't cary mobile phones, don't use any mobile kit of any sort; and minimise use of internet based equipment and service when ever possible...

Seems we're fast approaching the point where human memory is unnecessary.
