Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Asus will soon be releasing two new Intel-based Chromebooks. Discuss here if you've ever used a Chromebook, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

Yes, my son, who is a project manager for an IT company, has been using them almost since they first came out & is an avid supporter of them. He was already using Google Docs & Cloud storage so it was a simple solution for him.

My aunt got a chromebook around last Thanksgiving. She tends to do a lot of inventory for her antiques business, and the old 1997 machine she was using wasn't cutting it. I don't entirely know what she did, but I remember we spent an hour just trying to get a USB stick to work with it let alone use anything else. Kind of a hassle, but I think she likes it for the ultimate portability of a 11 inch netbook to carry around the shop.

Personally, I think it depends too much on Google's cloud service. I'm not really fond of the Cloud, I like to store my data where I can see it. Sorry, not for me.
