Hi all,

This week's poll question is about FreedomPop's new free cellular service plan coming to the United States. Discuss here if you think this initiative will force other cell providers to reduce their pricing, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

Folks that have smart phones are not going to live with those numbers so I doubt it will have any affect on the market.

Tried to see if the service is available in my area. Typed in the area code but the nag screen insists on an email address. This tells me they are going to sell your address to everyone and their uncle. I didn't enter my address.

I also tried to see if it was available in my area. I quit when it kept asking me for more personal info. Free is to good to be true. Nothing is free. There's always a catch somewhere. Pricing may come down in the future if the competition increases. Supply and demand will keep the prices up for now. The marketing machine has successfully convinced millions of people to live their lived through social networking and to have a smart phone attached to their hand 24/7. I, personally, think it's s sick concept, but then again, I'm older. It's all about money, period.

As otheHill said, they are gonna get your database. I too, just like others, didn't fill the form they asked for. Let them prove something first before asking for my detail. uff, I'm tired of these guys asking for my detail. Lemme have a drink!
