Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Google has come out with a new CAPTCHA system that no longer requires typing words on the screen. Discuss here if you think CAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA have become outdated, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks,
Justin

The early CAPTCHA was fine but over the years some have become quite hard for even a human to decode. Not sure whether reCAPTCHA will make things better or worse - only time will tell.

I can't comment on whether they are now too dated or not because I don't have a website and have little idea about other filtering methods that might be available.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Hi Derek - totally agree.

I often have this problem. Also it seems sometimes both upper and lower case characters are used, making some harder to differentiate when viewed on a monitor.
