Discuss: Apple bigger than Microsoft

Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Apple's market capitalization has surpassed Microsoft's to make it the most valuable tech company in the world. Discuss here if you think this makes sense, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

I don't think most of us give a shirt.

Anyway, "the most valuable tech company in the world.", isn't real surprising right now. But when iPhone/iPad slows down, Apple best have something else up their sleeve.

In terms of software, microsoft is still much much bigger. As far as I know apple sells a hell of a lot more different products compared to MS (I think). And although gaming on the iPad/Phone/Touch will probably gain more momentum, theres alot of potential for other companys to take that from them. One thing MS has that I dont think Apple will get (aside from market share) is a good hold in the games console market.

When thinking of the two companys though, they are both incredibly succsesfull but Microsoft is still bigger in my mind.

IMO I noticed many people have tried to dethrone Microsoft but alas M$ is still the best.
Just too many people are jealous of Gates as he was a geek then became a king. Live with it!

I really don't like Apple, especially their OS which is non M$.
Try finding drivers, try finding most anything that is compatible with it. To me even installing a program is a big hassle. To top it all off, Apple is WAY over-priced for what you get. I would rather mount a horse than a program.....their terminology lacks at the best of times.
But I did notice that Apple is converting towards M$ in programs, browsers, etc....like the old saying. If you can't lick 'em....join 'em
Long live the Queen!
