Hi all,

This week's poll question is about a recent government study claiming that 79% of all mobile malware targets Android. Discuss here if you think Android is less secure than other mobile operating systems, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

I am an android user. I don't use IOS or Windows phone so I can't really speak for them, but I can see android potentially being less secure than IOS. For example, as far as I know all IOS apps need to come from the Apple store. On Android there are several different marketplaces to get apps from, as well as being to run apk's that have not been inspected by Google. Running a good mobile antivirus helps with this. I think it all comes down to the user. Be smart about it and there shouldn't be too many problems.

The more open system is less secure. Does this tautology really need to be said out loud?
