Hi all,

This week's poll question is about the recently passed Amazon Prime Day. Discuss here if you took advantage of any Prime Day deals, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks,
Justin

Bought a couple flash drives. Have no idea if they were part of prime (nor do I care). I'm not going to get suckered-in for $119 just to have something 2 days later and a bunch of services I don't care for/can't use...

I browsed a few items and noted that the discount prices weren’t that tempting... Ithink the concept of Prime day (and similarly other “days”) is past its “prime”... Pholks are more canny and careful with their pennies in the current financial climate.

Amazon is a well known brand name as are many others. I wouldn't assume all well known brands were either the cheapest or the most trustworthy. To my mind you shop around when you want/need something rather than "buy now" just because some firm happens to be waving carrots at you.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I have noted recently that one or two items, not computer related, were actually more expensive on Amazon(.co.uk) than in a local store... This being on non Prime days.
