Hi all,

This week's poll question is about news that Sony is retrofitting the PS3 to play 3D games. Discuss here what you think about this advance, and, if you like, the poll results themselves.

Thanks!
Justin

Rehashing another old technology. I remember "3D" on my Sega Master System. Use to play titles like Missle Defense 3D, Zaxxon 3D, Space Harrier 3D, etc.

Was pretty fun.

Just my personal opinion here but simply put, I've never been all that impressed with 3D anything.

The stupid glasses and 3D effects give me a headache after a while and to me, just detract from the show I'm watching so I've never watched more than 10 minutes of a show in 3D before taking the dumb glasses off and just sitting back enjoying it the "normal" way.

I can't see gaming in 3D being any kind of an improvement in the technology itself so I won't ever be spending even one thin dime on it.

To me 3D is a "niche" thing that only really appeals to some people...and I'm not one of them.

From discussing this topic with other people the majority seem to agree with me. It'll be interesting to see how the poll comes out.

3-D = Wasted $$$$$ in my opinion. If your one of those that has to have the latest an greatest regardless of cost or wether it is worth a darn then this is for you along with the new 3-D televisions. I can't wait for the day when those pay per view boxing matches are in 3-D. When these nuts have there ppv parties and have to run out and by the extra glasses. Pretty sad I think that those whose eyes are not bad have to wear glasses to watch tv. I'm with Curt R when it comes to the games. I just don't see how this is better. Actually I think it's a kick in the teeth to all who have spent hundreds on the ps3 and the games they have purchased for this past christmas.
