Hi Abfray, where did you post your query. Was it on this site, and if so, on which forum?
Suggest you copy the email here (without your address), we could use it to find your question and the answer.
Good Luck - Keep us posted.
yes on this site, guess I don't understand how to find answers, found this one by accident but can find one about not being able to boot up past start up screen, says I got an answer,
thanks for come backabfray
Click on the same link below that was posted in #2 above to see your thread. Generally speaking, the thread remains in the same forum you originally posted to, unless moved to a more appropriate forum here at CN.
To anyone that does not know this. Clicking on a user name here should produce a list of threads that user has participated in. That is how Jolicloud and myself found the posted link.
'To anyone that does not know this.'
That also pertains for members who reply and tell the poster to post their problem in a different forum....no need to do that....just click on the (red) Report button on the lower right of the post and select 'incorrect forum' and the moderators will automatically change it. That way the same question does not get posted again and the OP doesn't get flustered....just makes it easierSome HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions 7 Golds
Hi OtheHill, prior to replying I clicked on Abray's name and it showed active in ~1 posts.
Not sure what the tilde character signifies. Thus I assumed (wrongly) it was this post. Now looking deeper, I find:-
a) the active figure is updated daily, not instantaneously
b) other information, such as list of posts is off-screen.
Still strange Abfray could not find his post, as I thought email notifications provided a link to the subject post.
Regards - Mike
abfray now shows 2 posts. Below is a link to the other one. It is dated Aug 29th so it did get lost somehow.
