Solved Best answer- continuing problem (POST 2)

September 22, 2013 at 08:26:17
Specs: Windows XP
I am still being asked to select the 'best answer' Have tried the two suggestion offered: . Mikelinus suggests hovering over the question to get a black box. The only black box I get is the one which, if selected then takes me to mikelinus's personal details page. As for the suggestion by Justin to select the green 'select a best answer' in the top right...there are no green words top right. In fact that area is blank! I've selected YES to every answer when the IS THIS ANSWER HELPFUL box appears at bottom left. Sorry if I appear to be causing a problem, but none of the answers to 'Best Answer' are available to me.

✔ Best Answer
It should look like this

if it doesn't, my guess is that there is an issue with how your system is loading the page?

If the link below is the thread you are referring to then you will not see the option because there is already a best answer selected.

Yeah, it shouldn't be that difficult. For experimental purposes only click on the 'select as best answer' on my posting here and see if that works for this thread.

Wonders will never cease! I had just finished replying to DAVEINCAPS to say there was a big fat nothing ANYWHERE for me to select BEST ANSWER, and then I moved on to your posting with the link indicating what I SHOULD be seeing. Selected it...and zippo...every one of the boxes containing answers suddenly displayed a big green sign! I guess selecting on that link must have released part of the programme that never attached itself at the time of the installation. Hopefully this should put and end to the frustration, and I hereby award you THE BEST ANSWER!
