They say they didn't know anything about this, but I bet they did.

Probably one of the reasons why big business has a division of lawyers to do the CYA work Larry; they simply don't know what they're doing all the time.

We rent. Same place for 10 years. On Christmas day 2008, we received a visit from a real estate agent telling us to get out in 10 days. 10 days? In California in the 21st century? I threw him off the property and when he came back later that afternoon, the local police also ran him off. This was another "local contractor" action that was just short of a Viet Cong relocation policy.

The mortgage holder fired that guy, offered us a nice relocation allowance and dealt with us directly in the eviction process. They also wanted us to reoccupy the property, apparently appreciating that we were never late with the rent in over 10 years.

That sort of heavy handed eviction was common and we found out later the independent contractor had $5,000 at his disposal to buy us out of the house...he offered $600 and had we accepted, the rest would have gone in his pocket.

Morons and greed. I wonder how many were forced out of their homes by guys like this? I'm sure thankful I knew some landlord/tenant law.

I set up an account with Bank of America back in 2004 after moving back to Florida. Later that week I set up direct deposit from my employer. That first check was given to me from the employer he stated it was to late in the week to have it go into the bank. No big deal I more or less expected this. The next weeks check went in. The following Wednesday I withdrew a few bucks for gas. When I got home I checked my account online for the first time. This had been the first withdrawl after depositing over a grand in there. My account was overdrawn by the amount I took out and charged a fee. I called to find out what the heck was going on and was told that my employer was not on some list so they put a hold on my check for ten days. Wait I deposited cash to open the account and cash again that first week I told them. After twenty minutes and talking to 3 different people they claimed all was well. They stall attempted to charge me the overdraft fee.IU cancled my direct deposit and went to close my account they told me I could not as per the terms of my agreement the account can not be closed for a minimum of 6 months. HUH? I withdrew all but 6 cents let them take a monthly fee ot of that. They did and sent me notice saying I was overdrawn again. HA COME AND GET YA DAMN MONEY!

I want to go like my grandfather did. Peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming at the top of my lungs like the passengers in his car.

BankoAmerica's terms border on abusive.

They are the American Airlines of banking.

And that is about as bad as you can get.
