Specs: Windows XP Pro, Intel Core2Duo
I came here today on my Windows 7 desktop. Most of the time I use Chrome. At the top of the page there is an ad for LG products. The ad will play a video also. If I click a thread a on any of these forums here at this site it opens a new tab and goes to LG website only in Chrome that is if I even get to one of the forums at all at top where Hardware Software OS Off Topic ETC in the drop down does not even drop down if I just click one of the links at top like Software it takes me to LG site. This only happens in Chrome and only this computing.net site. I am using IE in Winows XP right now.

Download and run:

Adwcleaner:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...

Malwarebytes (free version):

https://www.malwarebytes.org

Junkware Removal Tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...

The last one puts itself on the desktop, from where you launch it.

All three above are free and safe to use; regularly recommended here.

Hi ChristopherTGarrett,

Thank you for letting me know. I believe I know what the issue is. I am going to report this to get it fixed. The reason I had never seen it is because logged in users aren't displayed skin ads like that. Thank you for calling this to my attention, or I might never have noticed.

Thanks!
Justin

Just tried in Chrome again. If I click in the boxes to sign in it opens a new tab like I said above. This is strange. I will just use ie for now on this site.
