Solved About "Yontoo Layers"

For some weeks now my web browsing has slowed considerably and no amount of cache or history cleaning has improved it. Yesterday I was spring cleaning with Revo Uninstaller and I came across an item "Yontoo".

I did a search and it appears to be connected to Facebook and I also found this description:

"Yontoo Layers or Drop Down Deals browser add-on - creates virtual layers that can be edited to create the appearance of having made changes to the underlying website. Has ads in the layers with no obvious warning on install".

I have absolutely no idea how it became installed so I promptly uninstalled it and hey presto my browsing speed is back to normal.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I just cleaned up a computer for a friend and ran into it. Same results. Removed it, among other things and the browsing speed increased dramatically.

I hate programs that the creators are so clever.

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing.
