I was just informed that a fellow poster here on CN that went by the name of Kuwese has passed away. His name was Sasha and over the months we became good friends. He was from Tanzania in Africa and was a smart kid. He was only 17 or 18. He passed away July 25th. I personally just lost my wife on Nov. 6th after a long battle with emphysema. I'll miss them with more than words can express. RIP............... message edited by grasshopper
Really sad indeed and so young. I well remember Kuwese's very sound posts. He must have been very young when he started on here. Even worse to hear about your immediate sad news at the same time. My condolences won't help much but that's about all I can offer.

That is sad that one so young should pass on out... Condolences to hIs family, who likely feel the loss greatly. Condolences too to you "grasshopper" over the loss of your wife...
Hang in there...
Sincerely,
trvlr
Derek, Not much you can say, but thank you just the same.
trvir, Thank you. It is a shame. Gone too soon.
Hi, That is a great loss to the Computing.Net community and the world-wide community as a whole. He really was a great person!
He will be sorely missed. Thank you so much for letting us know about this.

Grasshopper, My condolences go out to you.
Very sad news.
btk1w1, Thank You. Very kind of you.
So sad to die so young. grasshopper, do you know the circumstances? Kuwese & I used to exchange PMs quite often, talking about all sorts of things - computing (of course), but also movies, music, gaming, cars, politics, live in the US vs life in Africa, etc, etc. We exchanged pics & links about things happening in our respective parts of the world. But our conversations ended abruptly. I know he had his heart broken by a young girl. I hope that had nothing to do with his passing. For anyone who didn't have the pleasure of knowing him, here's his pic:
Hi riider. Sounds like we both had a similar relationship with him. He was very unlucky with the women. I used to try to give him advice on the ladies, and he became like a son to me. He also made numerous attempts at having a business. He was a graphics designer ( mostly logos for business) but they all failed too. He was very depressed at times and told me he wouldn't get out of bed and didn't wash. All I know for now is his sister told me he passed away on July 25th. I sent her a return email, but got no response yet. I kind of suspect suicide, but I can't say for sure. He spoke very highly of you. I'll pm you his sisters info. I don't have an android phone, so I can't use WASUP. He will be missed.
Indeed, a great loss---especially for someone so young. And condolences to you as well, grasshopper. As with everyone here, I'm sure we'd all lend an ear to listen or shoulder to lean on should you need one.

Re #17 Yeah, I'm sure anyone here would be happy to chat one to one over PMs if it would help.

T-R-A / Derek Thank You. It's nice to know I have a lot of friends at a time like this. This is the worst thing I've ever gone through. I have so many mixed emotions, and it's nice to know you guys understand. I lost my only true love and best friend of 24 years. Then i find out about Kuwese. Life, sometimes, doesn't feel fair. Thanx again.

grasshopper, so very sorry for your loss. I am also sorry to hear about kuwese. He was a valued member here. I didn't realize he was so young.
OtheHill, Thank you. I was shocked to find out how young he was too. He sent me a PM a few years ago and we became friends from there. He was very knowledgable about computers. I was impressed. My wife and I were together for 24 years, but knew each other for almost 50. On this Thanksgiving, I'm giving thanks for having both of them in my life. Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving too.
My condolences to you grasshopper and especially to the family of Kuwese. this is certainly a great loss to both families.
Thank you too Justin and riider for the links

I feel somewhat better that his death was an accident rather than suicide. And I would like to echo what the others have said - my deepest condolences over the loss of your wife.
Thank you rider. Much appreciated. I feel better too that it wasn't a suicide. I'm waiting to hear from his sister on what type of accident it was. I remember him telling me the hospitals over there were terrible. He may have survived had it happened here. We'll never know. Thank You for the condolences for my wife. I miss her terribly.
Sasha's sister Larisa said he was killed from injuries sustained from a car accident.
