I was wondering if the little pop up that asks if I want to fill out a survey is from the makers of this site. Thanks ::mike
Impossible to say with such little information. The best policy is just don't fill out any surveys then you can't go wrong.
I don't get any pop-ups at Computing.net because I use Chrome with an ad-blocker/pop-up blocker extension.

I get a "survey this site" popup from Telstra which is my Internet provider. Telstra know nothing about so I just close them... no reply given. I would advise you to do the same!
mikelinus, Could you describe the popup a bit more? Maybe take a screenshot and put it somewhere?
Thanks!
Justin
I will try, it's a little square pop up that was appearing on my android browser. That said something about computing.net and a feed back survey. ::mike
I guess it went away. Just thought it was odd, appreciate all of the responses. I will screen shot it if it reappears. ::mike
Hi mikelinus, Definitely do. Odds are it is a survey we are running, but it could also be an ad. I doubt it would be an ad and say Computing.Net though.
Justin
I'll do the same and my pop-up looks the same as mikelinus's, I'll grab it when it shows. Regards
Most browsers can be stitched up to prevent popups on here. I haven't had any for years on IE, Firefox or Chromium. Otherwise it's just a few short lines in a Hosts file. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

I normally don't get popups, but I leave the ads running as they are part of the way this site is paid for. Guessing it's part of that. I understand the concept of blocking popups, normally I use Firefox with custom settings. Thanks for the feedback. ::mike
I guess I just have criminal tendencies - I've been known to switch TV channels when the ads come on too. Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
