Because of sound advise here at computing.net I downloaded Solaris 11.3 into my Virtual Box with great success. Zero issues. I liked Solaris so much I decided to use it as one of my computers desktops OS's besides using it in a VB. Well unlike the Solaris Virtual Box file which was designed for Virtual Box, I am not having the same luck getting either the live ISO or the live USB download files to work. Neither file will open. The Solaris web site makes it sound as easy as Linux ubuntu but the files do nothing after being downloaded. I have read that I am not the only one having these issues with the Solaris "live" files but finding good sound BASIC A-Z instructions is almost impossible. Any help or sites to go to please. Thanks. P.S. I am a beginner at Solaris.

✔ Best Answer
The live ISO should be burned to a DVD using the appropriate software. CDBurnerXP or ImgBurn will do the trick. Then just boot off the disc.

Thanks, your programs that you provided me did work. However, Solaris is not for me except for VB. Thanks again. Navyretire
