February 1, 2012 at 07:46:19
Specs: SOLARIS 10
On one solaris system when I run #date I get
Wednesday, February 1, 2012 11:09:58 AM VET

On another system I get
Wed Feb 1 11:09:40 VET 2012

Whis is the format that I want. O don´t understang why is the difference since both systems have the same TIMEZONE files:

TZ=America/Caracas
CMASK=022
LC_COLLATE=en_US.ISO8859-15
LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1
LC_MESSAGES=C
LC_MONETARY=en_US.ISO8859-15
LC_NUMERIC=en_US.ISO8859-15
LC_TIME=en_US.ISO8859-15

Thanks a lot......

I think you need LC_TIME=C in order to display date in the format you wish. I am not an expert in this area so you might want to google Solaris LC_TIME. These link look interesting:
