i want to install solaris on my x86 machine,

Specs: Windows 7
I want to install solaris 10 on of the empty drive on my computer. But it is already formated(NTFS). But solaris needs UFS. what can i do to install solaris on my computer. Can someone suggest me how to install solaris on my machine.

What you need to do is to remove all the partitions on your hard drive(s) leave it as unpartition, when you're done. boot it up with your solaris x86 cd.

you should continue with UFS file system if you want to make your system as DUAL BOOT. or you just install VMvare first for installing on the same OS.
