What do you mean anyone could open it? If you are logged in, yes, anyone can open the browser and see your email. If you logout, going to mail.yahoo.com would ask them to login instead?

You may have checked your e-mail in a public place and the checkmark to keep you logged in may have been checked or you were prompted to have the computer save the info.
If that's the case, anyone could open your mail.

The solution is to go into your yahoo account and change the password.
That would stop all of that and also be sure not to have the computer remember your user and pass when you log into yahoo mail.
