i need a bit of help. i am in computer hell. my computer got the microsoft loop virus about 3 weeks ago. i had someone fix the loop but it seems like the virus changed a couple of the registry keys. i have a couple of problems and things that i have noticed in my computer.
1. the volume in my computer is distorted now. whenever i play a sound, music, or video it plays it slow and choppy. its very distorted.

2. i also am having a problem with my system restore. it works sometimes and doesnt work on other times. it will save my configs on occasions and well basically its all buggy

3. i also have a problem with my start up. when i press the button to turn on my computer it takes about 4 minutes to start and load all necessary things in order to work. it use to take about 45 seconds. so im thinking the registry is messed up, the bios, the HDD thing.

now while i was messing around in the registry. i found 2 folders that are labeled "files not to backup" and the other is "keys not to restore" and there where like 10 random but very important keys in there. it had all the keys that i think i need in order to help my situation. the folder contains keys for the catroot, system restore, system volume. basically everything i am having trouble with. i dont know how to fix these keys and get them back to where they need to be. they have funny symbols next to them %system restore%/\ stuff that looks like this...can someone help...

i took it to a repair shop and they got the computer out of the loop but eft me this mess and suggest i do a reformat. although that is always a last option, i would like to know how to repair this.

and a second question, is wondows 7 a good stable system. it looks nice and clean...
