Using Superantispyware I removed the offending files and now none of my .exe files work. What can I do?

Thanks for the suggestion. I ran ccleaner and now I can't get any .exe files to run and my task manager has been disabled. I tried your suggestion but all I get is a "which program would you like to use to open this file?" I'm still able to use some of my software and I can access the internet and do searches and download files but the xp security 2010 virus still shows up. I've backed up my files and am considering contacting Dell to find out how to reformat my hard drive. What do you think?

As far as which program to use to run that reg file you would Browse to the C:\Windows\regedit.exe file and select it.

To get rid of that virus follow the Automated Removal Instructions at the link below. 1. & 2. are very important,

It looks like things are running properly now. Task Manager is back and my .exe files work. Over 470 files were corrupted and all were deleted. Thanks so much!
