I was cleaning up my father's XP notebook and quick launch disappeared. When I unlocked the taskbar and clicked on toolbars | quick launch, I got a messaage window:
TOOLBAR Cannot create toolbar. OKOf course it is not okay, but that is beside the point!
I checked and the quick launch folder is in place and filled with the correct files.
Any suggestions
quick launch toolbar cannot create toolbar
JohnW I can Google the problem. The issue is that none of the solutions fix it.
I don't want to REGEDIT.
I followed the Microsoft link that you so kindly offered. As I said in my initial post, the Quick Launch folder is present and accounted for. The REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL
REGSVR32 /i BROWSEUI.DLL commands were entered and I got "successful" dialog boxes back.STILL NO JOY!
Did you try going back to a Restore point before the cleaning?
